Dr. Ecclesia Savage, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychologist. Clinical Thought Leader. The Speaker Who Actually Knows Why

There’s a version of success that looks great on the outside and costs you everything on the inside.

Dr. Ecclesia Savage has spent over a decade helping people — leaders, executives, high-achievers, and the people carrying everyone else — figure out what that cost is actually doing to them, and what to do about it.

She’s a licensed psychologist and the founder of Anchored Counseling, a national telehealth practice she built from the ground up in 2019. Before that, she was in clinical practice as early as 2015, working directly with the kinds of clients most people assume are “fine.” The ones who are performing beautifully and quietly falling apart.

Her clinical specialties include trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and EMDR. She works with CEOs, entrepreneurs, working professionals, and high-achieving individuals who have mastered the art of showing up for everyone except themselves.

Her signature focus: dismantling the Superwoman Schema — or what most people know as the Strong Black Woman narrative. The idea that endurance is a virtue. That asking for help is a weakness. That rest is something you earn after you’ve given everything you have. Dr. Savage has seen what that belief does to people, inside therapy rooms and boardrooms alike. And she’s spent her career offering something different.

Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice and shaped by cultural competency and lived experience. She brings a faith-integrated perspective into everything she does — not in a preachy way, but in the way of someone who genuinely believes you can have Jesus and a therapist, and that healing doesn’t ask you to choose between your convictions and your wellbeing.

When she speaks, she doesn’t bring a performance. She brings the science, the stories, and the kind of clinical clarity that cuts through the noise. She knows the research on burnout, on leadership stress, on people-pleasing and self-abandonment — because she’s spent years inside that research and inside the rooms where people finally talk about what it’s actually costing them.

She speaks for the same reason she practices: because too many people are operating on empty and calling it strength. And because the organizations, teams, and communities around them deserve to understand what that looks like — and what to do about it.
